Which investment is right for me?
It all depends on the fund’s objectives and the level of risk you’re comfortable with. Our investment approaches are all different, and each one involves a different amount of risk.
Our higher risk investment approaches experience more ups and downs, but have the potential for higher returns. And vice versa. Our lower risk approaches experience fewer ups and downs, but have a smaller potential for higher returns. It all depends on what you want out of an investment approach.

What's investment risk appetite?
Investment risk appetite is the level of risk you’re willing to accept when you’re making an investment.
We measure risk by looking at how volatile an investment could be, which means how many ups and downs are likely as its value changes. More risky investments are more volatile, but have greater potential to grow.
You can find out more about investment risk appetite on our learning hub.
Will my money be invested responsibly?
Most of our funds are responsibly invested, which means that they will make decisions about what to invest in that consider a broader view of risks and opportunities including thinking about people and the planet. This is because we believe that over the long term responsibly run companies will lower risks and increase opportunities in our changing world. These companies will be seeking to protect both people and the planet from harm, with responsible business practices based on global standards.

If the stock market falls, will I lose my money?

If you take money from your pension or switch investments when your investments go down, you will be locking in stock market falls.
Remember, investing is a medium to long-term commitment and has tended to do better than saving over five years or more. However, past performance of investments can’t be used as a guide to how they’ll perform in the future.
